Nvidia is set to launch its next-generation AI chip platform, called Rubin, in 2026, according to CEO Jensen Huang's announcement at National Taiwan University in Taipei during the Computex trade show. The Rubin platform will include new GPUs (graphics processing units), CPUs (central processing units), and networking chips. Although Huang provided limited details, he did reveal that the new CPU would be named Versa and that the GPUs would feature next-generation high-bandwidth memory produced by companies like SK Hynix, Micron, and Samsung.

This new platform reflects Nvidia's accelerated release schedule, moving from a biannual to an annual cycle for introducing new families of AI chips. This shift underscores Nvidia's dominant role in the AI chip market, where it commands roughly 80% of the market share, positioning it as both a major enabler and beneficiary of the growing AI industry.

Nvidia's continued innovation and rapid product cycles are expected to further strengthen its market position and support the burgeoning demand for advanced AI applications and infrastructure.
